One sharpener, one machine, one standard. Here's how Helix Industrial ended up in a workshop in Bunbury.

Fourteen+ years on the tools.

Jayden Sharpe has worked as a fitter and machinist since 2012. Fourteen+ years in shops where a blunt blade means a rough cut, a slower job and another invoice for replacements that didn't need replacing.

In 2024 Jayden started Helix Industrial Sharpening. Not another fabrication shop - there are plenty of those, and he had no interest in competing with the people he'd spent his career working alongside. Helix Industrial exists to keep engineering and machine shops cutting, not to take work off them.

It's a one-man operation, and that's deliberate. Every blade that comes through is sharpened by the same person, on the same machine, to the same standard. Nothing gets handed to an apprentice on a Friday afternoon.

Built for blade geometry rather than for taking metal off in a hurry. It indexes the blade round and works one tooth at a time, so the last tooth comes out the same as the first.
